And I am happy! Nice and quiet, wouldn't even know its there.
Since I needed to swap pulleys and had allready rebuilt the nose gear on my old one, I just swapped the entire nose gear. While doing that I accidentally knocked the bearing plate and rotors out of the old charger. The reason for the noise is obvious. I'll let the pictures show what trash this was.

Wow, looks pretty rough in there. Would it eventually quit making boost if it kept wearing like that? |

What years/models of the M62 got the teflon lining treatment? I know the later M90's did. |

Actually the early ones were Teflon. The later ones like these were epoxy and had tighter tolerances |

Guess I should have taken this thing apart and relubed the case bearings. Started to get a whine a couple days ago. Grease in the case bearings has solidified. Either someone didn't use the special grease or this thing sat on the shelf too many years. No damage but I have new bearings on the way. |

Used the grease gun trick and pressed the old ones out tonight. Check out how burnt the grease is in these. Even though it didn't appear the charger had been apart before, I think these had the wrong grease in them. There was a touch of what looked like chassis grease on the end of the rotors when I first got this thing.. Almost took it apart then, but didn't. Anyway, no damage except for the bearings themselves. Waiting for the new ones to arrive now.
