Anybody else with an AFR meter ever see it change drastically after a fill up? I've been buying gas from either Chevron, Safeway or Fred Meyers. Always runs the same and the AFR gauge has reacted the same at each place. Tonight I filled up at a brand new station here in Cathlamet. Jeep is running ultra smooth and the AFR dropped about a full point to 13.5 on the way home. Checked the fuel trims and its subtracting fuel now. This is no brand fuel but new pumps etc. |

Interesting. I have an AFR gauge and 99% of the time I use Fred Meyer gas. Never noticed anything different AFR wise with other gas but also never gave it much thought. |

Maybe go back and see if you ended up with straight unleaded instead of E10? |

Likely the amount of ethanol. Its more than 10% on average, don't kid yourself. When tuning you need to use the same station. Hense the OEM error of richness that works for all.
Mazda and bike reflect what you speak of. Both runability wise and mazda confirm with WB. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Jeep runs soooo good on this stuff. Exhaust is smoother sounding even. Afr's have adjusted themselves back to normal but engine still running better. Drove past the pumps this morning, no sign on the pump saying E10 anywhere, so I think its pure gas. |
