Thought I'd post my own. Went to Moab last month. Had a blast! Been uploading some video from my bumper cam. It's kinda like skiing vids though you really can't tell how steep things are. But you notice sometimes that the camera almost touches the rocks. Only 2 things I chickened out on. Devils Hottub and The Crack. Crack cause everyone was banging the hell out of the back bumper and i'd been dragging mine worse then anyone else all day anyway. And the hot tub cause I had 3 people in my jeep and it was just a wee bit light in the front. Earlier I'd tried to go up Tipover Challenge and just about won the challenge. Got up the first terrace and lifted the front wheels on the 2nd. Let the people out of my jeep and went on up. So I'm glad I didn't attempt the tub. After this dad started riding with another friend and my confidence started coming back.

Anyway, I only needed assistance on 2 obstacles. One I was following a larger jeep's line and ended up high centered on my shovel doing the turtle walk. The next was a steep ledge, I'd been using my lockers quite often and think the front pump overheated. So I went to tackle the ledge and 1 wheel spin up front. Ended up needing a bit of winch cause of it.

So here's some vids.

How I should have gone up it.

Totally different wheeling. I think I bumped my sliders just once the whole time in Moab. Almost never hit the shovel except that over vertical ledge, but totally beat the hell outa the back bumper, shackles and tank skid.

In Browns camp I'm always grinding the shovel on something and used the sliders on the very first outing.

Hmm never been super happy with piggy back modules. They tend to be one of those, work good in x conditions, and not so much in others.

Ya but not many places people tune the 03/4 jeep ecm. Banks is having that issue with their turbo kit too.

Uses one of these https://splitsec.com/product/ftc1-019d-fueltiming-calibrator-most-chrysler/ not sure if that's the exact part # but same thing.

Edit: this looks like the correct one. https://splitsec.com/product/ftc1-201-fueltiming-calibrator-jtec-jeep-p-n-p/

Well, with being simply an additional injector controller plus timing retard, it's not as full-featured as a normal piggyback so it shouldn't have too many problems fighting the factory ECU's calibration and learning process. It should work decently.

When are you gonna ditch it and build a MegaSquirt? Wink

I think they finally have a megasquirt that works, but its the spendy one. Jeep has some odd crank trigger configuration.

Wideband o2.. I shouldnt need to check, but might be nice to know. Who's does what? There's not much space for adding another bung so if it would mimic a narrow band as well that would be better. Do they all?

My Innovate LC1 does both, that is the only experience I have.

Innovate has a $200 digital option that looks nice. Same sensor and controller as mine and mikes. Simpler gauge cuts the cost in half. Theres plenty of room for another bung though.

Just looking at that tuner and they specifically show you how to hook the innovate to it for tuning. The blue digital gauge would match pretty well with my dash too.

Fedex put me a day behind because they wouldn't deliver yesterday with nobody home. Today I got the driver to drop it off at work. Started the install but stuck for the night. Missing a baggie of bolts for the throttle body adapters.

Spent half the night running errands. Still got the charger bolted down. Discovered the belt is too short for my jeep. Sad Even worse I was hooking up the 7th injector when I saw that the tb adapter plate didn't tighten down correctly. Can't get to the bolts with the charger on. Evil or Very Mad Sooo, back off again tomorrow night. Guess I won't be making the national topless run Saturday morning.

She's a runner. Lotsa torque. I had 3/8s tank of regular before I topped off with premium. Getting a bit of ping at WOT, but frankly don't even need wot. We'll see what happens on the next tank and then probably tune from there. Sure rev's quick now.
