Well, I pulled my severely clunky Koni with a stuck adjuster off my car and replaced it with a $20 RockAuto special until Koni processes my warranty return and sends me a new strut. These struts have under 4k miles on them and one is completely bad already... I'm also adding Del-Alum control arm bushings and Eibach Sportlines to my setup as soon as the new strut comes in.

I'm thinking it's not supposed to do this:

The Tokico strut I had on mine was so bad it would compress with just gravity. That's what made all the clunking noise last summer at COWS. I love my new Bilstiens.

I have had some Napa hatch struts do that a few times. One of them puked oil all over my interior. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, my clunk was just as bad as yours if not worse Al. I'm really kind of put out, I know every company has a QC issue now and again but for the money I spent on the Konis I really didn't expect this to happen. Hopefully their warranty team is stellar and can hook me up with a new one quickly.

My Napa hatch struts are still as strong as day 1 now after over 7 years of use... I hope they don't ruin my interior!

QC has sucked for 20years any it's only getting worse and hitting more and more vendors. Can't even use 'new' parts for diagnostic anymore.
