After some consideration I have come to the conclusion that I will not finish this project. It's not a monetary issue, or a time issue, I simply no longer have the desire to own a fast car.

I know this news will break the heart of everyone here who wanted to live vicariously through my idiocy, but don't worry, you can console yourself by buying some of the many high quality parts I wasted money on!

Quote:
Stainless steel headers, crossover pipe and 3" downpipe - $700

L67 shortblock with 67K miles, ARP head studs - $300

1998-style intake manifold and throttle body - $60

Autometer gauges with dash plate for '82-'89 Camaro. Have Speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, fuel pressure, coolant temp, voltage and fuel level. - $450

nooo, you've come so far already! Id really hate to see your project go unfinished but if I must, these are the following items that I would be interested in.

turbo

intercooler

wastegate

BOV

walbro 255 fuel pump

megasquirt ECU

AEM wideband

fuel pump harness

9 bolt rear end

drag link, idler arm, tie rods and tie rod sleeves

fourthgen brake master cylinder with Wilwood proportioning valve and Hurst line lock

Some items may be omitted from that due to financial restraints, but those are the things that caught my eye at first glance.

AEM wideband O2 sensor with controller and gauge. Less than five minutes on brand new sensor. - $100 - Pending
Let me know if this falls through, i'll take it.

Moog drag link, idler arm and tie rods with Coleman racing sleeves. Maybe two miles on it - $60
I'll take it.

Spohn Panhard bar - $40
I'll take it. Which panhard bar?

Custom adjustable lower control arms - $50
Can you tell me more about this?

KYB struts and shocks with only a couple miles on them: $40
I'll take them.

Founder's strut mounts with only a couple miles on them. - $80
I'll take them.

GTA front seats. Need to be recovered, but very rare and comfortable. $40 - Pending
If this deal on the GTA seats falls through I am here with $40.
In fact, to whoever is buying those, If you would rather have a set of 4th gen Camaro Black Leather seats with only one rip talk to me. You can get those and my GTA can have some proper chairs.

*EDIT: I was so excited I did not notice any posts after the for sale post. Not trying to overthrow Skyler's dibs.

There are people ahead of you for the intercooler, Megasquirt and wideband, so I will let you know on those. Let me know how quickly your finances will let you move on this.

Nope. For once my planning is not piss-poor!

Adjustable with poly endlinks.

What do you need to know? Paul built them for his IROC many moons ago and when that car was totaled out they went onto my car. I believe there is a picture of them on his garage page. If not I can grab a picture myself.

Gabe is the one with dibs on them, so that's between you and he.

Sorry Tony, leather is not my style and 4thgen seats are really not as good as GTA seats as I'm sure you know.
I am gonna grab the GTA seats from Aaron and recover them in cloth for my own car.

I agree with you on the second part. Smile I'll continue to "suffer" with my leather camaro seats. my actula Ideal is a set of early 4th gen firebird seats, just like the GTA seats but with a modernized headrest.

example here

sourced from google images, this car is not my taste.

Heck with that. I see a for sale thread with prices and I can put money in Aaron's pocket right now. I'm not playing second place to somebody that waves a hand over everything and thinks it will be held while they try to figure out how to come up with the cash. Sorry if people don't like it but that's the real world. Of course, Aaron can choose to do whatever he wants (it's still all his stuff no matter what) but that's my opinion.

Oh Jon... Laughing

To clarify: I have no intention of holding parts until someone "comes up with the money." That's just ludicrous, and it's not fair to myself or other potential buyers. I am, however, willing to hold things for a reasonable amount of time to give someone a chance to return an e-mail or text.

People have already begun to pre-pay for parts, so the items marked sold are actually sold.

If they aren't cracked I'll take the headlights too, Aaron.
I have one that's cracked but still works on my Camaro and one that's completely dead on my truck (only a highbeam so no biggie). I can always use extra headlights for cheap. Just toss them in with my other stuff. Wink

If anyone really doesn't mind the throw length of a stock T5 shifter but wants the shift feel to be firmed up immensely, go for that T5 shifter setup. It's the bee's knees. It's an early minimal damping T5 shifter from my L69/T5 car with a brand new brass shifter bushing instead of plastic. It shifts really really nicely!
Aaron, we should have taken a comparison shot of the early T5 shifter vs the late, the rubber damper difference is amazing to see.

Sad What a let down, wanted to see what the mountain man V6 could do....
Will that crossmember work for a V8/T-5 third gen?

Yes it will. We built the mounts to accommodate a factory crossmember. Wink

I would so have taken that, but with an engine swap in the future it does not make financial sense, I would need a new crossmsmember later. might as well wait and buy it all at once. Sweet part though, at a nice discount as well.

It is an awesome setup, I loved it when it was on my car. It did add a bit of NVH, but made a noticeable difference in launches.
