I think this listing proves I'm mostly dead inside. I read through almost forty pages of old cars and only one or two caught my eye.
The big-window D100 looks nice, as does the '62 Poncho. There are a couple Studebakers that look interesting. The '65 Monterey 'vert and '49 Olds vert both look like cool projects. '59 Buick 2-door is pretty cool. There's even an Oliver in there for Brandon.
Whoever did the auction listings knows nothing about cars and did a poor job, but I can understand the massive undertaking that must have been.
I am wondering what they are doing for titles. I imagine that most of these cars have never been registered, and finding the paperwork for them seems like a potential headache. |

Okay, so when you guys inevitably die in a horrible spinning crash, can I have all your stuff? |

Saying something is "no worse than an old Beetle" is not exactly a ringing endorsement.
If you can drive a Corvair is not a problem. It was sold in an era when no one in this country knew how to drive a rear-engine vehicle. I just have to give you guys some s**t for fawing over a row of rusted Corvairs when their are some much better projects listed in that auction.
Ironically (considering what forum this is) Nader didn't kill the Corvair, it was the Camaro. GM got it's "sport" car cheaper and easier, and the Nova took up the economy end, rendering the Corvair redundant. |

Better projects.. maybe.. but its a matter of taste.. None of the ones you listed enthused me either!
Actually kinda burnt out on 50/60s cars. Thinking if I get another old car it may be a classic rod. Would kind of like to build a T bucket or a Model A pickup. |

ditto
And just for entertainment I sorted by bid so I could see what idiots will pay wads of money for a deteriorated basket case or otherwise worthless car. |
