So i just ran the datalog a few mins ago, the knock counts on the graph look like a damn polygraph test. they go from 0 up to 244ish then reset, engine rpm is at 800, im assuming this means ive got the wrong damn knock sensor in there huh? i just fired it up and let it idle for the most part as its almost 11:30 i didnt wanna wake up my neighbors by giving it gas.
The knock line on the graph just spikes then drops and spikes and drops.....wrong sensor correct? This is one of the last hurdles i need to jump through minus the speedo issue but i dont wanna try to drive on icey roads and screw with my laptop, ill have to hook it up tomorrow after work before the sun goes completely down to rule out if my cluster is just toasted (god i hope so) since im not throwing a vss code as aarron pointed out.
soon enough itll all be fixed. _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory

Is there audible knock?
Did you torque the sensor to spec or just crank it in there?
What is the part number on the sensor? |

If its not audible snd you're sure timing isnt wayboff. Disabke thevflag for now.
You arent using the knock module right? _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Scratch ny last post, the memcal is the issue. Rbob from dynamicefi pointed out the the maf memcals do not have the knock wax built into the chip and use it external to the ecm, whereas the SD has it on the memcal so its attempting to process info but it doesn't know how.
There's no audible knock of any kind, when you say disable the flag im seeing switch 24b error code masks (36-51) bit 4 - 43 which is the one I need to unchecked right? _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory
