Several of the owners of the company I work for are into cars and they decided to have a cruise / show at our main office today.
We started out at a golf course in Northbend for breakfast at 8:00am, Steve picked up the tab for everyone. We then meandered through the valley up to Carnation, Novelty Hill road, Kirkland and wound up at the main office in Bellevue.
Classic rock was blaring, the tow behind grill had the coals put to it and several cases of pop and Seattles best micro brews were on ice for us when we arrived.
I am not sure if I can post a link to the photo album, so if this doesnt work let me know. Here it is.

There were a lot of rare / valuable vehicles cruising and a couple more that were not quite ready for the road. See below for descriptions of each car.
Orange 69 Chevelle, owned by the bean counter of our company. Yes, he is an accountent. He was a leed guitarist in a big haired rock band in the 80's, has a couple of Harley's and also has the BBC Chevelle. He added Edelbrock heads, nsty roller cam and a 4L60E to his ride along with 4 wheel disc brakes and 18" TT2 rims and rubber.
The IROC convertible is just badd ass Notice the wife trying to stay in every picture?
1969 Nova. Owned by the Superintendent / father figure I have worked for over the last 10 years. Runs mid 12's with a stock 99 Escalade short block, cam, headers, intake, carb, 3.73 gears and TKO 600 5 speed. Our yard manager Chris T performed the body work and painted it Viper red.
1966 Green Corvette convertible. Owned by Greg Johnson, owner of Johnson Electric. All original 75K mile 427 4speed convertible Corvette. He drove it to the breakfast and to the show. I was behind him the whole way and kept wondering if my insurance would cover his car.
68 ish Mustang Fastback. It's nasty. Owned by a guy named Reed. The engine is dyno proven for 580+ HP and over 520 tourqe. TKO 5 speed, 9", cage, perfect body work, hugger orange with semi gloss black, 4 wheel disc breaks, 17" TT2's...yea, nice car.
Red Allard. Another owners car, has a racing history from the early 50's. English couch and Caddilac engine. What I found strange was how heigh the floor was in relation to the steering wheel. English people must have really short torsos.
Sunbeam Tiger - owned by the same guy that owns the Allard. Really small, and still underpowered.
Early 70's Chevy 4x4, buddy of mine built, boxed frame big big block, loud, not very fast and loud.
Black late 30's rat rod. Roof was chopped by about a foot, doors were changed to suicide swing, air bag suspention, BBC chromed out, Lexus seats with hand made leather covered console etc. Built by our yard manager Chris T. |

The white Buick Skylark was built by my last labor foremans dad 17 years ago. The paint and body work is still perfect. It was running 10.20's last year. When the old man sold it to his son he yanked the built 455, power glide and Currie 9" and reinstalled the stock parts. Im not a fan of early Buicks but this thing is really clean. Ryan bought it for 3K. It's worth way more than that.
1973 Camaro RS/SS, 78K original miles, 4sp and 12 bolt. Owned by the guy that owns NW Tower Cranes. Really clean car. He aslo owns a 700HP 2010 Maggie enhanced Camaro and a couple of other ot rods.
The green Norton, I dont know the guy, but he works for us and wanted something different. Nice bike.
The really long custom chopper is owned by a retired owner. The other Custom chopper was built and owned by our yard manager. He also painted both choppers. |

| I dig the Norton. I'm not crazy about the color, but is a cool bike. |

Yea, there were some really nice rides there. One of our owners is the head of the NCRS, National Corvette Restorers Society. He has restored over 50 Corvettes. Notice the plates on the 53. He commisioned and over saw the restoration of that car. Bob has more than a dozen Award winning Corvettes in his collection.
I showed him the distibutor from my car, lol, he said the engine is fubared He tried to give me crap for having a late model engine, had to remind him it an old school SBC |
