Last thing I need (or turbo_jimi needs since it would be stored at his house) is another small block laying around! To convert the Berli to TPI all I need is the harness, ecm, and MAF. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

John just drop the LB9 into the Berli and sell your LG4 as a pullout. Easier than doing a top swap. |

You'll need to redo the fuel system. _________________

Maybe he likes his 46,000 mile bottom end.
If it was me I'd keep the CCC setup. Nothing wrong with it and it should make better up-top power than a TPI anyway. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Then sell the Commander and buy a MegaSquirt.
Or make me an offer I can't refuse... Maybe I'll even throw in a matching March alt. bracket... _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Too true, dude.
Although honestly I think this is silly. If you looked up "good money after bad" in the dictionary you would see a picture of John installing an HSR on his clapped-out peanut-cammed 305.

That's why he just needs to buy my whole motor/tranny for it so I can justify an LSx and he can have nearly 300whp. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

What he needs to do is sell that rusted turd, throw your motor in his Trans Am, and all would be well. |

The Berlinetta is still kinda cool. I was unaware it was a rusty turd though. It seemed pretty solid when I had the interior gutted out.
My motor would wake the T/A up really well, then he could put the TPI 305 in the Berli for a cruiser. That would solve a lot of problems. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

Does that mean I get his low mileage LG4? _________________

It's more of a turdy-turd than a rusty turd.
I just give John crap about it.
But I still say you guys should have left it in that lady's yard.

Think you can talk your wife into letting you buy Gabe's motor? John will just claim he is "poor" and welch out. |
