im going to be ordering male aldl plugs to make data logging easier, no more plugging single pins into the female aldl plug under the dash
if you want 1 let me know asap, the cost is $5 for each 1, it comes with 3 terminals, + shipping

I'll take one too, where did you find them? I looked in the past and never found anything outside of premade cables.

Cool Shawn... you can just send all of them to my place. No sense paying more for shipping. I'll get them out to the proper owners.

Thanks!

I'd definately like one.

Hey ET, you looked under your dash near your fusebox? There's a funky looking black connector sticking out solidly mounted to the car? That's the aldl connector. You can use it to communicate with the car's computer (check for codes, get sensor info, etc)

He is talking about ALDL plugs that will be used to create harnesses to attach to laptops for data logging. Most of us have been using just three bare wires that you have to insert into the proper slots on the ALDL itself. Having the plug just makes it a lot easier/nicer - simply plug it in and voila! connection.

As far as the 'tools' to check engine codes, I use a paper clip. All you have to do is insert one end each to the A and B slots (If I am wrong on the actual slots please correct me) on the ALDL to short it. The 'Check Engine' light will flash to reveal any codes that have been stored in the ECM. If you already have a tool no worries. If you don't and want more info let me know. I also have several spare paper clips Wink

UPDATE

the shop received my check today & they are shipping them out today, so early next week i should have them
as i was in a rush to get them ordered & i have limited funds currently, I was only able to get 5 so far
me, Dewey, Paully & schultzy & bigdaddyvue are covered so far

CheezX & iansane i didnt get yours included, so in order to get you guys some too, i can either post the companies contact & you can order directly or send me some $$$ & ill get them for ya
im sorry guys for not being able to get all at once

if Paul, Dewey & schultzy would please get ahold of me to arrange shipping & payment, id appreciate it - i know you all are good for it

as im shipping the patented "napping to nitrousing" activation solenoid bracket to the unca, it would prolly be easiest to send them all to him in 1 care package
how about between you 3 $20 for all 3 shipped to the unca ?
the plug is $5 each
they charged me $5 shipping for all 5, so thats $1 each, plus ship to you

CheezX & iansane im working on making my own aldl cable, if i get it done & tested, might you guys be interested in 1 also?
im figuring itll cost me about $20 in parts & say another $5 to assemble & test
the cheapest 1 i found online was $39

Sounds good to me. What are we talking total for each of the three of us? sounds like $7 or $8?

I would just let us know what you want per person and then PM your address and I'll get a check out to you right away.

Thanks Wolfy dude

Fhooooomp!

I've actually got one, but I ripped the serial connector off when I couldn't get it from under my seat. Embarassed I was going to send it back (because I bought if from some guy online) but I haven't gotten around to it. Maybe you could help me fix mine?

i apologize for the confussion, i thought i made myself fairly clear in what we wanted, but you know....

FYI i am still looking elswhere, but at this time no leads
sorry all
