So I plan on ordering my del-a-lum bushings tomm even though they never messaged me back on a question I had.

I am wanting to get a press to push the bushings out/in, as well I plan to do my 1ton bushings and ball joints.

How big of ton rating do I need for this? Also, do they make tools to help press this stuff rather then making my own from pipes, sockets, etc. Laughing

Both times I had It done they used a puller and an impact gun. And for the sticky ones they used an air chisel. I will add, boxing the arm around the bushing helps out tremendously to get them out.

Out with an air hammer, in with a large vise or press.

For ball joints, use the ball joint tool set or a press with the correct pressing pieces.

Ive never seen them use an air-hammer around here. Just a press.

Ive personally done the bushings with a BFH, and I'm just getting to old for that now Laughing

Ew. These bushings have such a small metal sleeve I'd be worried about bending the crap out of em with a BFH.

Ball joints should fit TIGHT not so much BFH.
