Spent some time yesterday cleaning my Formula rims. They're not perfect but will do nicely. Found a good deal on CL on a set of Falken ZE502 tires. $380 mounted and balanced. I can't wait for the tire shop to open! _________________ '91 Firebird - LO3, 700R4, 2.73 gears

I have those tires in a 275 width on the back of my Camaro. They are decent for traction in the dry, but as soon as it gets cold or wet, watch out. Treadwear seems good however. It might be a different story with a little skinnier tire and a little less power, but overall I have been less than satisifed with the "All-Season" performance of mine...
Except mine were also a $100 for two deal on craigslist. The strengths of the tire more than make up for the flaws if you can score a great deal on them, which you have indeed.
Have fun, post up pics when you get the wheels on. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

I read a few reviews that echoed your comments and complaints. I have another car to drive if the weather is too bad so these tires will only get used in some light rain and def never any ice or snow. I couldn't pass up the deal and they gotta be better than the 15" wheels w/ 215/65r15 cheapo tires that are on it now.
The cars @ a friend's shop getting a new driver's power window motor and he's gonna throw the wheels and new tires on for me. I'll post pics as soon as I get the car back. |
