K so now the guy isn't selling the one with 3.23 gears. He's selling a different one with 2.77 gears. Still posi. And still disc brakes. Selling for $300 instead of $400 for the 3.23.
Good deal? |

Yes. You are going in the way wrong direction.
Had that ratio in my S10 with Camaro wheels and tires, and the very low-geared S10 version of the T5, and it was garbage. Of course that was with a veesix, but still. |

Idk if he still has the 3.23 for sale. If he does I'll buy that.
But the 2.77's.. shouldn't bother? |

Man, nuts to the bearings, you need to accelerate fast. It's the American way!

Car takes off plenty fast.
I'm gonna just save up the extra 100 and buy the one he has with 3.27 gears. 2.77 if you want to change out the gears you have to change out the carrier too. Cause it's a 2 series and not compatible with the 3 series. (obviously) |

It doesn't really matter whether it is a 2 or 3 series. The main thing is to avoid having to spend money on new gears in the future. Choose the gears now that will best suit your wants. Besides, factory GM gears are very strong and quiet. Aftermarket gears just aren't as good in general. |

The 2 series niner is a b@$tard child, though. Only the 2.77 uses it.

Make the guy an offer on the 3.27. He's asking a bit much for it. |
