I've watched just about every episode of Top Gear UK at least 3-4 times. It's my favorite show!

I read that Jay Leno thought Top Gear USA would fail because it's funded by ad revenue so they won't dare to really badmouth any cars and call something a piece of junk for fear of losing sponsors. Top Gear UK is on BBC which isn't funded by advertising so they can say whatever they want about a car. After watching the first season of Top Gear USA... I agree completely.

The recent episode in Alaska was decent. Although, the writers for the show clearly cant come up with their own idea.. it was just a re-hash of other Top Gear UK episodes.

I did like that the Chevy was crowned America's toughest truck though. Wink

By the way, the UK Top Gear Christmas special hasn't made it stateside yet, but in it May changes the head gasket on a BMW Z3 in the middle of the night to avoid being eliminated from the competition.
