| Anybody have an actual delco turn signal lever? I'm on my 5th.. 6th? I've lost count.. aftermarket lever. The cruise control set button keeps shooting out of the damn things. Friday I went to signal right and the button shot out and hit the window. Anyway, i'm tired of aftermarket. |

i'm with you Brandon. I usually get two years out of the cable that snakes through the column, after that they fail and need to be replaced. i have also had buttons come flying out. My GTA is on it's 3rd and I have only owned it 5 years. i buy from Baxter and save my receipts... lifetime satisfaction guarantee. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Same thing happened to me 3 days ago. Too bad my cruise doesn't work anyway. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

would a 4th gen cruise/wiper/signal lever fit? I've had my car for 6 years (although I don't use cruise control much...) and mine's never had any issue whatsoever. _________________

4th gens are a multifunction switch arent they?
Just this little statistical sample shows that the aftermarket has a a real problem with these things. Whats the odds of 2 guys having the same problem within a week of each other in a group this size? Neither of us were actually using the cruise either!
I don't think I've seen the button issue with the delco units.. just the cord getting cut at the washer selector. So I hope one would last longer. |

AFAIK, Brandon, the non-cruise 4th gen intermittent wiper lever PN was the same for 3rd gen. (that's what's in my 86) I would suppose that the PN's for 3rd and 4th gen cruise levers would be the same. _________________

Did some investigating and it looks like the 89-92 3d gens use a different lever then the earlier ones. Not sure what is different. But I know that one time I got the wrong lever.. everything looked right.. but when I set the cruise.. i got unlimited acceleration! Warp speed scotty. Luckily turning off the cruise released the gas pedal! |

The lever in my 89 is slightly different than my 92. The only difference I can tell is the wiper delay function. The 92 has clicks for the different speeds and the 89 is infinite (no clicks). Don't know if cruise is wired different though. _________________ 92 Camaro
