Gotta love the nay sayer's on TGO who said I couldn't put LS1 brakes on a small bearing 9" rear. That's all I needed to hear. As you can see it can be done. You think this will cure my brake bios problem of having not enough rear braking power???

Dude, two calipers per rotor, and one of them air-driven at that! |

Haven't you ever heard of air brakes? _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

I would think the compressor might put a little bit more hurt on your smallblock than it would on a diesel. |

I'll get an electric one like for air horns. That should be sufficient to work them. Won't need much with two calipers per wheel _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

I use to have a boss that said anything can be done. Its a matter of how much effort/money you want to throw at it.
Looks like you just had to make some flat bracket? Or am I looking at the wrong caliper? |

Well I have the bracket design for the wilwoods, it serves as a bracket and a spacer. I went with 5/16" thick, should have went with 1/4" since I ended up facing them off to 1/4" anyway.
Other things like plugging the backing plate holes and redrilling them really don't require measurements. There is a lot of machining involved on the backing plates, and I had to turn the axle flange down .125 in diameter so the parking brake shoes would fit over the axles. I also had to get some aftermarket axle retaining plates, and I used some extra axle bearings to make some bearing spacers. Also as you can see I made rings to fit over the axle centers so my rotors were hub centric.
I can duplicate this again, but telling you here how I did it all would be almost impossible.
Get the rear and the brakes and bring it over and I'll be happy to help you. Better yet get some wilwood calipers and have a really cool double caliper setup and then I wont be the only brake hog here _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.
