Headers: Buy some used ones on CL, break it in, and then put them right back up for sale.

Clutch tool: Any parts store will sell you the tools by themselves. Problem is getting the right depth/diameter/spline count. Does the Tremec use a normal T5 clutch?

Go down to any local parts house, have them look up the tool that comes with the standard Camaro T5 kit. Will cost you like five bucks.

Hehe... I'll bet you they still have to look it up.

When I put the clutch in the Blazer I had to buy a tool. Went down to Blatozone (my mistake) and asked for a GM 10-spline. I swear you could see the moron's eyes glaze over with confusion.

How long is the wait for don's headers? Seems like alot of work to just break the engine in?

I helped put a TKO 600 in a freinds 69 Nova, we had a hard time getting the tranny to slide in also. Wound up leaving the pressure plate loose and forcing it in.
You should check the alignment dowels in your block to the CL of the transmission. You will need to seperate the bell housing from the tranny and use a dial indicator to do this. TKO will not warranty the tranny unless you check this. My buddies was off enough to the point where we had to remove the pins and install offset dowels in the block. This happened two weeks later, he said it shifted much smoother and had less vibrations after realigning the CL.
