After 7 months my deployment to Afghanistan is coming to a end. I'm in Krzygstan and should be in the states on Sunday. It's been an exciting/terrifying/interesting time, but I am real glad to be coming home! I got to be a part of the invasion of the city of Marjah, saw a couple buddies trucks get blown up, got shot at (couldn't shoot back), etc.
I bought a Nikon D5000 so I've got some great pics and movies to upload and I'll link you guys to em when I get em up.
Also, I got myself a new ride to keep the 70 chevy truck company... And I'll post pics of that a little later also.
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! |

Welcome back! I've done 3 tours through Afghanistan myself. How was Manas with the whole government overthrow going on? Looking forward to seeing some of your pics and movies. _________________ 1986 IROC Z-28 |

Welcome back Jess! Glad you made it through in one piece! I missed Desert Storm by two months and am thankful everyday that I never had to go through what you and so many of my buddies did. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Haha, yeah... It'saaa meeeee... Joe.
I put some pics up on my facebook, but they are not full res, and it's just a sample.
As for the car... go there ----> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3852563 to check it out.
It's business as usual in Manas right now. Just finished up customs (couldnt keep my sling shot I bought from a kid), but everything else went well.
Our company as a whole came out pretty good all things considered. We had one KIA, and about 15 purple hearts awarded, and a ton of combat action ribbons. I was the only Marine in my section to actually be a casualty, but I am totally fine now. Just some scars to help me remember.
Anyways, it's good to get back in touch with everybody! |

An old school caddy engine is probably the closest thing you can get to duramax torque without going diesel! |

There's a pontiac stroker kit and block you can get now.. 5.5" stroke.. 632 cubes.. That oughta make some torque too. |
