I'm new to the TBI scene so can someone help me out? I won't have a VSS signal but I do have an electronic distributor. Think I can get it to run? I was going to start on the harness this week. Who here has done a tbi conversion?

its official... I HAVE Smile

She's done and i took her for a spin last night! OH MAN this car feels so different, but in a good way! Sounds really good too.

Here are a few issues that we had to overcome.

-Heated O2 sensor (because i have headers)
-Getting the C100 connector working properly (the one in front of the driver firewall. We had to go through wiring diagrams to figure what wires were where so we knew what ones to splice)
-VATS (had to remove it from the chip)

Best of luck man!

~JAKE

Awesome Jake! Bet it feels good to have accomplished that, and I'd wager it feels better to drive as well. You The Man.

I even have a little bit of constructive advice for the thread. Wink blue89, doesn't your Camaro have the yellow buffer box behind the speedo? That is what gives the TBI ECM it's VSS signal AFAIK. Doing this on your Camaro with the BBC, or am I way off?

Ya, it's for my 454 camaro. Not sure if it has the yellow box or not. It's an 89 cluster and wiring. I might have a SD computer with an adapter harness for anyone looking to upgrade their MAF 89 to a SD 91+ V6 setup....

Stock it should have had the yellow box.

If yours doesn't, you can get one from a junkyard or someone on here easily. I may have one kicking around I'd send you for shipping cost if you can't get one.

Awesome. I'll hopefully start my wiring this week. Gotta get to the crappy junk yard and see if I can find a tbi setup with the injectors I need. Should be fun.
