Does anyone know if you can do two tbi's on a single computer? Like a crossfire but not as much. I'm thinking about putting dual tbi's in my 454. It's batched fired SD anyway, so would it even care if they were big monster injectors instead of the normal guys? Just trying to play with the equipment I have laying around the shop. I have a 92 SD computer, 3 tbi 305 units, and the wiring. It's either that or wait around until I can find the rest of the 28lb/hr injectors I need. _________________ E30

There's a few threads on TGO. I was reading one last night. The EBL works with two tbi's which Al provided the link.
Al, the cluster works perfectly! All lights work. _________________

Hey Travis,
I'm actually in the process of switching my carb to TBI and have been tossing around the idea of running dual tbi's in the future. Just grab a dual quad carb intake and call it a day!
But yeah, not sure about the computer handling it. I don't think the injector size matters, you'd just have to tune it for the size you put in.

no, the problem is the wiring with the tbi injectors, doing the EBL would be the way to go, that way the computer can properly handle the impendance of the injectors and fire it correctly.
the dual TBI's would be cool, but I think a 4bbl TBI unit would be better, run a good single plane intake, and you would be set. The issue with the dual-quad intakes, is that every one of them I have seen, are dual plane intakes. With TBI, i think single plane is where it is at. The computer doesn't need the vac signal like carbs do, so you don't need a dual plane intake to get idle quality. |

A dual tbi would be the only way to go. I plan to way outperform a single tbi setup. Now I just have to figure out how to put two tbi's in a single 4bbl carb spot. Plus I have to see what units I have. I know I have a 4.3/5.0 tbi and a 2.8tbi. A guy at my work is giving me a 5.0 tbi so I at least have two of the same bases.

That should do it. |
