I know this is a stupid question, but what is everything covered in a tune up, and is it worth the time to do it myself, keeping in mind I don't have a garage or access to a jack.

cap
wires
plugs
oil change
maybe check your air filter to?

its definitely worth it to do your self because then you get to work on your car Very Happy
do the plugs only if you can fit under your car without a jack... because 7-8 are a PITA without getting under the car.

thats usually what i do feel free to add peeps! lol

I meant to put this in the garage.

I'm fairly sure I know everything that gets replaced, I just don't wanna miss anything.

Oil filter

Maybe even a little Seafoam. That's woken up a few vehicles of mine from time to time.

The only thing you need a jack and stands for are the oil and fuel filters, and the front end lube.

You can a cheapo jack and a set of stands at Schmucks or something for like $50.

When you do the work yourself, not only are you saving money, but you are getting better parts... assuming you buy better parts. Razz

Personally I prefer a job done with Wix filters, Royal Purple oil, Autolite plugs, Blue Streak cap & rotor, Taylor wires. You get the idea.

Most importantly...headlight fluid and elbow grease. Very Happy

I know, I'm lame...

On a serious note, check all your sensors, too.

gotcha, headlight fluid for the break lights and elbow grease for the injectors. that spray pattern was looking to fine, I think it makes the car look cooler when they drip.

Oil change was done 400 miles ago but the car does deserve royal purple, o2 sensor was done recently PCV valve and air filter.

Playin with the cap in rotor should be fun for my back (not old, just fat)

won't I need a jack for the fuel filter?

I didn't, but that's because I have the sport coupe, no side skirts on mine.
