So my 4.11 10-bolt was making some noises so I pulled it in favor of a 9-bolt. Well, the 9-bolt needs new bearings and a clutch adjust, so I'm pulling it again. Next time it goes in, it will be rebuilt and hopefully the last rear end I put in it. So in the mean time....
I had a 10-bolt with a 3.42 laying about doing much aside from keeping the concrete down in the garage. Figured the spinning spider gears weren't doing much good as is. I added some metal with my old Lincoln and am going to weld the axle tubes, add my disk brake kit, paint it, and throw it under my ride. I guess next I'll paint the car if the bearings in this one sound okay. Thought I'd post some progress so I can motivate someone else, 'specially with the crappy weather.
