Call me the devils advocate, but i'm all about a sexy looking car. I don't do any racing in my car so thats the way i went. Thats not saying i don't want my car faster, but i would rather cruise in a good looking quick car then a faster junker.

You just need to try it some time. Once you go hunk-'o-junk sleeper you'll never understand why you didn't do it earlier. Wink

I'm with you Jake. Now that I have got rid of my third gens. The only way I will ever get another one is if its in really really good shape to start with.

well im going to do the body work myself this spring/summer...save me the money and learn how to do it...im working on a deal with a guy to buy this setup thats been slightly used for a really really good deal...

http://sdparts.com/details/scoggin-dickey-parts-center/sd8060arpm

of course i ganna have to get my own gaskets and bolts...

so now im looking for a good cam...what i need to know is...is my motor setup for a roller cam and lifter from factory or not...i know its got a flat tap in it right now...but if i can manage to afford the roller...that will be the route id go...if not then im ganna stick with a flat for now...the vortecs should bump my compression up to around 9:1 to 9.4:1 depending on head gasket thickness...still gas pump friendly...so any suggestions on cams...this is mainly a street car with some track time...so i need to keep the vacuum up especially since im still running the stock Q-jet carb...i will be still running with...stock exhaust manifolds for the time being until i get money saved up for some ceramic coated ones...so ill make the car look good myself when the weather gets warmer again...got the parts to do it...for the time being i want more hp and tq...i think i ganna try to find either a used rearend with posi...or look for a used posi...anyways thats the plan...

Of course, I'm speaking of a young QwkTrip. The present day QwkTrip will take comfort and reliability over speed and looks. Laughing

Yep. Hasn't broken down on me or left me stranded once in the last 12 years. And I'm a good husband too.... my wife can go sit in it any time she wants. I'm not one of those guys that doesn't share.

Hell yeah! I want to swap something really weird now. My buddy picked up a 5.3 for his ford but that won't be for at least six months before he has anymore cash.
