2nd gen stuff! LOL.. well not so different from me. But I've got a stack of new parts itching to go back on my 400. Started on the rotating assembly today. I got the block all cleaned up, honed, and soft plugs installed. Warning for anyone building a motor, ALWAYS pull the oil galley plugs and run some rifle brushes through. This block was hot tanked, but the oil galleys were still completely plugged. Had to run some allthread through before I could get a brush to go through. Cleaned the crank up, again rifle brushes through the oil galleys. Plastigauged and then lubed and installed the crank. So far everythings going good there.

Here's some of my new parts.. oooh.. shiney! Very Happy

New comp pushrods and a summit double roller timing set..

ARP rocker studs. I'm using bb chevy studs and helicoiling the heads to make them fit.

Summit bumpstick. 282/292 adv duration 465/488 lift. 224/234@ 0.050. 114* lobe seperation

Some stainless steel full rollers.

And finally some bling. Or being wrinkle finish black- antibling?? Cast aluminum valve covers, made right in california! No chinesium. Too bad I cant say the same bout the rest of the stuff.

Parts are looking good! They'll look even better on/in the motor! The black wrinkle is cool. Almost looks like rhinoliner/lineX. Very Happy

I just wish my windshield wipers worked, and now heres this guy saying;

'eh I'm bored, think I'll rebuild an engine today'

looks like its coming along very nicely though, cant wait to see it finished.

Ya, I'm hoping for dyno. But since I've only driven the car once.. with a lame motor. I have no idea if the th400 is going to hold or not. Guess I'll find out!
