hey everyone thanks for the warm welcome,

My name is Vince and i am from Melbourne Australia. i have owned a 85 firebird for almost 2 years now.
the beast is in excellent condition.
i converted the engine over to straight LPG using Gas research about a year ago because of the KM i was doing and the fuel price wars.

i have now bought a LS1 engine which i am trying to find the swap parts for.

i will post some more picture in the garage soon.

Thanks again for the welcome.

Wow, nice car, is it a right hand drive?

Melbourne is a ways away from us all, but hey, I like you Aussie blokes.

Thanks John,

yes it is right hand drive

The only problem with that is that because they never came out as a RHD the dash has been moulded from fibreglass.
the finish just isnt the same.

there is a couple of blokes i know are actually fitting up the Holden VY dash(pontiac GTO) dash, which doesnt look to bad.

it just comes down to personnal preference if you want to steer it away from original.

Nice Birdie Very Happy

I spent a few weeks on your other coast in my Navy days, best Port of Call I ever had. Except for our rain, Melbourne probably has close to the same climate as what we have in our Northwest.

Alright...the first Crewbie to show an airline ticket headed that way, I will outfit with a sweet travel duffle and carry on bag, new style jacket, and a silk camp shirt so you don't stand out like a turd in the punch bowl!

Well what kind of two-bit outfit you work for that doesn't give you a lunch break.

Tell you what, you sneak out there, forward your work number to my cell and if anyone calls looking for ya I'll tell 'em your on the head, something about needing to be acclimated to the water. We can make this work.
