So today I was browsing through the post-its folder on outlook at work. It's a sort of virtual bulletin board. I came accross this guy trying to acquire a tuner for an '05 Mustang. I just thought I should share what I started.

I have arranged the messages in the order they were posted.

I was wondering if anybody had one I could borrow to retune my chip. I will throw some money your way.

Thanks in advanced

If you're looking for an upgrade I would just buy a Camaro instead...

Most people done realize that the power programers once used on a vehicle are coded to work with that vehicle only from then on. So for all of those wanting to buy a used power programmer, you might as well try and tune with a brick, itll be just as effective. And I agree with FC2, just buy a camaro. Mustangs are overrated.

Do some research, some programmers can transfer to another vehicle if you load the stock tune back in to the vehicle. Some also have the option of paying a small fee to have it unlocked. For the price I would recommend just buying new because you should only pay 300 or less for a hand held programmer.

Also, for in the ballpark of $300, or more depending on how many runs it takes and how much needs to be reprogrammed you could bring it in to a dyno shop and have it dyno tuned, although for the cost they are most beneficial for someone who has aquired some bolt-ons or otherwise changed the volumetric efficiency or displacement rendering the original tune ineffective and or the lack of a suitable pre-designed tune.

What the heck am I talking about every car I've ever worked on was carburated.
