| I am going to be coming home to vancouver, in a few weeks for a surgery. I wanted to take my car to PIR. I want to be prepared, last time I was there alot of people had helmets. I didn't have one, but I was running a 14.4. At what piont do you need a helmet? How much do they normally run price wise? Do most people get them from jegs/summit? |

I hope I can break the 13's this time. I haven't been to the track since I did the rear end, h/c/i. Is there any certification level of helmet that is required at certain et's? I noticed on jegs they range from 60 to 700 dollars. Do you guys have a brand recomendation? I want something with a little quality that can last a while.
Edit nvm about the ratings on the helmets I just read the link |

Snell 2000 or better.
I recommend a full face. Then it's okay for Motorcycle etc. I have a $99 Jegs - G-Force brand open face. Does the job.
Need the helmet at 13.99 along with all the usual. Battery hold down, over flow bottle, return springs (Two on carb), less than 12" rubber fuel line, working seat belt, properly fixed seat, not leaking massively, no cracks in the windshield, all 5 lug nuts, tread on the tires, and in some cases a neutral safety switch. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

...You always need a neutral safety switch in any automatic trans. The longest any helmet will last would be 12 years. Snell certifications expire after 12 years. Make sure you have dual return springs on your throttle. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S
