i'm sure you have all seen it in the news. people sending certified checks to people and sending them back the difference only to find out it was a fake and now your bank is holding you responsible.

well in the past month i have recieved two offers for my car from people like this. one was today.

here is what i got in an email:

dear owner,
i saw your advert on a classified ad that you are about to sell your 89 IROC Z and it is labeled for $4500i will be paying through a client of mine owing me $7000. i will like to hear from you so that i will make him understand the deal by seding to you the certified cashiers check he wanted to give to me.
hope to hear from you soon.
best regards,
jackson robert.

They will ask you to send them the remainder. the other email was very similar. Just letting you all know to be careful.

i would not trust people that want me to give them a few thousend. i would say go to a bank dude and get me the correct change.

that is just wrong that sounds like frad you should find out who is investagating and turn the e-mails over to them.

Always make sure the check, ANY type of check, clears the bank before handing over your merchandise. There are a million ways to get scammed out there!
