the only TWIN turbo one I know of is in a datsun car or something of that nature.
project89... I give him some credit for trying. But there is always one excuse or another to have a hole where people will rip on him. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

I remember that car. Yellow twin turbo 60deg v6 with a jag IRS setup and touches of CF all over? Very cool. _________________

| That turns into a lot of money for a V6 though. If you want to do it, I would slap a single turbo on it, run low boost, and have fun with it, until it blows up. |

Heads from a Front Wheel Drive motor. Some have done it, but from what I gather, it takes lots of tuning to make them work, and I believe some fabrication. _________________ 92 Camaro

Yea, the biggest problem with the FWD head setup is getting spark.
The FWD has cam/crank triggers with coil packs and no dizzy.
The RWD has a dizzy.
You can not mate a RWD intake to FWD heads.
There is no clearance to get the FWD intake and RWD dizzy. So basically you would have to install a FWD motor/ecm, into a RWD car. Which then requires having the FWD block drilled for the starter on the other side.
or
make your own intake to mate up with the FWD heads. |

You could also use a rwd block and put the fwd internals and heads on it. Then you'd only need the crank trigger. Truth of the matter, 91camaro_rs, the iron heads have teeny tiny intake ports that don't allow them to make much power. The only way to upgrade that is to go fwd. To put in easier terms, a ported polished super iron head flows the same as a stock genII fwd head.
Forced induction would be great but you still aren't going to make much power past 5k rpm. Might as well put nitrous on the V6, at least that way you could always put it on a V8 when you nuke it. Just think of bang/buck. _________________ E30

Use a small merc turbo for the V6. When you go V8 just get another small merc turbo and twin the V8.
I think the V6 Turbo idea is slick. Retain your gas milage while cruising, yet have 350 HP when you want it.
Nitrous is a money pit. Neat for the track, sucks for the street. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| yeah i think single turbo is better, i know project89 had his running 12.6 1/4 miles and i think at one time he was running 24 psi of boost, which is a lot and idk if i would have mine running that high. he was pushing 268 HP, i think it would be cool to do. |

| Yeah, but for the money he has spent, you could have built a 500hp small block. His build up is not your average V6. He has put a ton of money into that motor, and still has less than 300hp. |

Don't forget the transmission. Don't believe a V6 700r4 will take that abuse. You'd probably have to upgrade the internals as well. You should be able to stuff V8 stuff into it. The V6 700r4 uses smaller bands and stuff (so I've been told).
I really don't want to sound like I'm bashing your hopes. I've just been there, done a ton of research on things, played with my own V6, and am way happier with a V8. Noone ever did fun stuff like make a million different parts for the V6 like they did for the V8 stuff. |
