Sold both sets of heads on ebay.. now I just have to fight with these guys on shipping. One guy insists that a chevy head only weighs 30lbs.. funny, my scale says 47.5.. and thats without any packaging. The other guy just thinks there has to be a cheaper rate. I've tried Fedex, UPS, USPS, and DHL. Theyre' all within $5, but I have to drive to Longview for anything but USPS. Am I wrong to think thats worth something? The guys are both gettin a helluva deal anyway.

Sold my edelbrock valve covers to a guy in Finland.. Guess what? He has no problem at all with the shipping. He just paid and said send em.

That's why I always put in the auction BUYER pays shipping UPS from X zipcode, and if I have the weight I put that inthere too. 30lb chevy heads? Iron? I'd love a set.

My freakin pros weighed 44! The stockers weighed like 48.

Ya.. I even looked up iron eagles and theyre 52lbs each. Well the one guy found his own shipping anyway, so no worries there. The other guy I think will flake, but wasnt gettin much from him anyway.

I think this guy must be thinking of aluminum or V6 heads. I always thought that iron heads were about 100lbs in total (50 each) and aluminum was just little over half. Heck, the head companies always say "Save around 50 lbs if you switch to aluminum"!

Well, if iron only weighed 30lbs a piece that means each aluminum head only weighs 5 lbs? Give me a break.

Take you iron heads and drop them on his foot and ask him how much he thinks they weighs. He's obviously NEVER lifted a set of heads. Good luck on collection, ask for you money up front. Now I know why I never bother selling any of my old parts.

Surprise surprise.. everybody came through. Now I just have to get both sets of heads shipped out. One sets packed and awaiting pickup. The other set I still have to find boxes and take to the post office. Postmistress is going to love these! Very Happy

Need to go through the barn and find a few more things to sell now. Can think of a couple more things 4sure. Nothing so heavy as the heads though.
