Ok so i want to eliminate my computer controled carb. but i have an electric choke. my question is... Is the electric choke controled by the computer and if so does that mean that if a want a non computer carb that i would have to install a manual choke and carb? _________________

| If you ditch the computer controlled car the computer will become useless. You will also have to get a non computer controlled distributor. The choke shouldn't pose any problem sense many carbs come with an electric choke. |

Ya i'm going to get the distributor too. I'm just checking to see if the electric choke is conrtolled by the computer or not. If its not then how does it know when to engage and dis-engage? _________________

It gets a 12v signal when you turn the key on. From there it runs the power through the thermal choke spring inside. The spring grows rotating the choke lever as it heats up. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |
