so today after work i went over to a buddies and while looking for a nova part inside my z28 i discovered a freakin lake in my rear passenger floorboard and under rear right seat. wich is completely soaked through. i know when i bought the car on sunday that the tops may have a "slight" leak, so i've kept it in covered parking (except when driving). but to find a freakin lake in there is just freakin unacceptable. sure the engine, tranny new brakes and tires are great. But a freakin lake.!!!!!!!

I feel your pain, I've had those seals replaced and still get the occasional leak - a never ending battle. You may be able to adjust the receivers for the pins on the body of the car, remove the plastic trim and 2 screws in slotted holes hold the receiver to the car body. If that's not successful, then it might be time for new weatherstripping. _________________ 92 Camaro

| Make sure its the T-tops too. I have a hardtop car and get a lake in the same place. I think its coming in through the hatch hinge bolts. |

I love my vert. But I dont drive it in the rain. You wanna talk about leaks....
On my hardtop
I had a leak somewhere on the front a-post, pass side.
The hatch hinge bolt leaked, pass side.
The seal where the glass meets the hatch cracked, leaking into the trunk.
Vert
Windshield
where top meets a-post
all around the glass to top
quad-meet area where door, top, fender, glass all meets.. I can stick my finger thru. |

I had a leak in mine once that was so hard to find. It ended up being a leak at the center bar, water would enter there, then travel across the top of the windshield (under the weatherstripping), then drip out at the driver side A-pillar. A little more weatherstrip sealant on the bar and all was good |

Guys! Guys!
I have the perfect solution!
Buy two thirdgens, one hardtop and one t-top. Heck, if you're feeling adventurous buy a 'vert too.
Then you're set no matter what the weather is like. Of course, the hardtop might accumulate a few more miles than the others.
It is my dream one day to have enough thirdgens to drive a different one every day of the week...
If only I was that rich... _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56
