|
|
Well folks, it is that time of year, there have been a bunch of other threads with info, but I will put it here all in one place.
Who: Everyone!
What: Dyno Day / Gathering Weekend
Where: Portland, OR
When: Feb. 20th, 21st, 22nd
Here is the tentative schedule, based on prior years...
Friday: We will meet up at for Pizza and hanging out starting 7pm. We have a reservation at Benny's Rod & Custom Pizza. Feel free to show up any time between 7pm and 9(ish). This will give all the out of town people a chance to meet up. From there we will figure out where everyone will be staying, and go from there.
The address for the Pizza place is.
Benny's Rod and Custom Pizza Cafe
4219 NE St Johns Rd Vancouver, WA 98661
If you going to be in town before 7pm, PM me, I should be home all day on friday, and you are welcome to come to my place, and follow me to the pizza place.
Saturday: Dyno day. The dyno runs will start at 9am, at Modern Classics Auto Service. The address for the shop is:
5717 SW Jean Road in Lake Oswego, Oregon
Feel free to meet us at the shop, if you are not going to be at pizza friday night, or if you are not staying at one of our houses.
The dyno costs are $60, that gets you 3 pulls on the dyno, a print-out, and CD of the data from the run. This does include the WideBand O2 sensor information. Please bring CASH for this, to make it easier, and less headache for the shop.
After the dyno session (usualy runs to about 2pm), we will get lunch, and probably go for a quick cruise to see some of the scenic stuff around Portland. (Then of course, party until the wee hours of the morning)
Sunday: We will get up, do a group breakfast, and hang out. We can do another cruise if people want, but Sunday is more of a day for people to get packed up, and headed home. There are no definite plans, in the past we have done both.
Sleeping Arrangements: Both myself, and Paul have room at our houses, no one will go without a place to sleep, just show up, we will have room! If you want a motel room, or need any special arrangements, please PM me. The sleeping at Pauls place, and at mine, will be floor space for the most part. Please bring a sleeping bag and pillow along. If you are bringing your wife/girlfriend and want some privacy, the best move is to contact me or Paul.
Contact Information: If have any questions/comments/concerns, please feel free to contact either Myselft, Twilightoptics, or Schultzy. PM's work great. I have attached our phone numbers. This way if you get lost, or need something, you can get a hold of us.
We look forward to seeing you all there. I really hope we have some new faces this year, and get to meet some of the newer folks on the board. I promise you, that if you show up, you will be welcome and will have a fun weekend. Those of us opening up our homes, will go out of our way to make sure everyone is welcome, and has room. If you are thinking about it, but not sure if you want to come, let me just say, that we have done this gathering for 8 years now, each January. If it wasn't a fun weekend, and a good gathering to show up to, it wouldn't go on that many years.
See Ya in Feb!!!!

i'll be driving down from Seattle on Friday. i'll be in a company rented minivan, so if anyone in the Seattle area wants to come down but does not have a car i can give you a lift. you would need to find your own ride home though.
i may have a prior engagement Satarday night. we shall see. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Or pack mule If you could meet over at my place on Friday, I have a sub box for Paul if he's still interested, I can fit it but not much else. To avoid a the toll at the Narrows, I normally go the back roads through Belfair and Shelton and get back on I-5 at Olympia, I can't be sure, but I think it may be shorter distance for me that way. |
