When I first changed my plugs, it took me like an hour and a half... now i got it down to about 1/2 hour.

# 1,3,5, and 2 from the top, 4,6,7 and 8 from the bottom. just stuff your hand in there, don't be affraid to get dirty.
lol
Oh! and its best to it while the engine is cold for sure.

Yeah, if you still have the stock manifolds, you have to do some from the bottome. #8 is the worst to get to get to. Once you do headers, then plugs get quite a bit easier.

A gear drive ratchet and hollow (pass-through) socket works well for me, especially where the header tube nearly passes over the plug and a spark plug socket won't fit.

I've found it useful to use a 3/4" wrench on the back of the plug socket on a few of them, but I have headers so I couldn't say whether it would work on a manifold car.

Marion County doesn't have any emissions regulations as far as I know Greg, but you probably know that.

That's why my car is registered at a Silverton address Twisted Evil

Both of my cars seem to like the stock Delco plugs best.

Pokey pokey

*Edit: To clarify, this has gone round and round on these forums, I'm sure the search feature would help you out, but the general consensus is that Autolite is good, NGK is alright, and Champion and Bosch are junk.
