Alrighty. No pictures, so bear with me.
I shaved my antenna on the body. But the motor and the telescoped antenna are still wired into the car.
My question is, can I just cut the wires that go to the motor, and plug the antenna in to the radio and stick it in the dash somewhere. Or will cutting the wires make it the antenna useless.
I tried to just remove the wires, but the motor itself does not come apart, it is pretty much sealed, and the wires lead back in through where the kickpanel would be and under the dash. Do they unplug from somewhere inside of the car?
-Thanks,

you should be fine if you cut the wires goin to the antenna. aslong as you still have the antenna wire your radio will still work fine. |

I did that on my 87. Shaved the hole, and cut the wires. Eventually I just pulled the motor and crap out and screwed the antenna directly onto the body. Never effected the radio no matter what I did. _________________

Either of you have the motorized antenna still? I've been thinking about putting one on. |
