"ESA (European Space Agency) have released an image of the surface of Mars, captured in 3D and full colour. Europe's Mars Express orbiter has been taking pictures of the Martian surface at down to 10m resolution. The mission will result in Mars being more carefully mapped than Earth has been to date!"

it looks comptuer generated? is it a picture or a rendering the probe made?

What happens if the Earth gets remapped? Globe companys will thrive?

I dig all of this footage. I just wonder what will happen if they actually find a life form of some kind?

They don't have sensors anywhere near sophisticated on these two landers for detecting life. They can just anylize chemicals/minerals in the soil/dust/rocks on the surface. That's about it. As for seeing a fossilized specimen or something with the cameras or the microscope, the chances are better that I will sprout wings. Finding remnants of deceased life on earth is difficult, and often takes thousands of hours of searching/unearthing. They don't have the tools for excavation or large area examination so I doubt they would see anything even if it were there. It would be very cool to find signs there was once life on Mars though, so I will continue to hope data supports that conclusion.
