Yea, so i ordered some wheels from discount tire.. i'm in wounderful kennewick washington which is about 2-3 hours from spokane, i ordered the wheels about 3-5 weeks ago and finally today i got the chance to go get them, i asked them over and over "you have the 15mm offset one's right?" didn't want to waste a trip.. so i get there.. i'm excited as can be and already had a spot picked out to take some pics.. and they brought them out after we paid and i looked at the box and sure enough just as i feared +56mm offset.. so i basically wasted a trip up there.. but not all was lost.. they reordered them and since there was an error, they are sending them to my front door sometime next week..

They should look very similar to these, if not identical. Should look rally good on a black car.

Now you're going to have to clean up those drums and calipers because they will be very visible Wink

Ok, so they lied to me today, lack of communitation on their part exposed they lied when they said they ordered them on friday when really they waited till this morning to put in the order.. and they tried saying that my 92 has a +56mm offset.. but from what every else has told me it's a low offset (0-15mm)

Negative or positive offset? 15mm is only 0.6 inches. I always like to talk in terms of backspacing. That way there is no confusion.

On an 8 inch rim,

Negative offset --> 3.2 inch backspacing
Positive offset --> 4.6 inch backspacing

I have a little over 5 inch backspacing on my 9 inch rim. Works on the front. Wish I had about 5.25 or 5.5 inch backspacing in the rear with disk brakes.

Ok so i'm sure this is going to sound like a dumb question, but how do you tell what the backspacing is on a wheel... the wheels are 17 x 8 1/2 with a positive 15mm offset..

Not so dumb at all. Took me a while to figure it out too. Zero offset would have the mounting surface on the center line, making the backspace 4.25". Add 15mm (.59") to that since the offset is +15mm, or set toward the street (positive offset). Offset is measured in millimeters from the centerline, and measured from the inside edge (where the bead seals), to the offset is your backspace in inches. Your backspace for that wheel is 4.84 inches.
