when you have a chance would you look me up in the evening sometime, as I've got some questions for you, as im installing my HSR & wondering what you did regarding the 9th injector & EGR
as i dont have that adapter kit you said i need to burn my prom, I have to wait on that currently
also do you know what it takes to convert to a MAP sensor ?

Well quick reply:
The 9th injector plug I left sitting next to the tunnel. I didn't want to hack it off, wanted a complete harness still just in case.
EGR you must disable in the chip. I've heard that if you leave the EGR solenoid plugged in, you MIGHT be able to get by for a while without the computer setting off the ses light. If the SES light comes on, you go to default values, run super rich, and generally not good.
To convert to MAP you need the 730 ECM/Map Sensor and I believe some other style sensors as well as repinning your oringinal harness or buying a SD harness.
I perfered to stay MAF because that's too much trouble. Lo and behold I am going to convert to SD but going with the Commander 950 because GM sucks. |
