I have been shopping and just purchased insurance and thought I'd pass along a few tidbits:

The liability rates here in washington are about twice of that to many other places in the US, appearantlyly due to bad drivers and roads (I disagree with the roads part, the roads here are mint compartively)

One company Pemco won't even insure me because I drive a Camaro with a V8 and am under 25, nevermind I have never had an accident and no tickets in past 3 years. I guess they aren't even aware the LO3 has less hp then most current V6's Rolling Eyes .

Well just thought I'd share, oh and if anyone else is shopping, geico has the lowest rates of everyplace I have checked.

When I went to school in Pullman, I found out that the rates on the east side of the state are about 1/2 of what they are on the west side. Insurance companies divide the state right down the cascades, and lump all us westerners in with Seattle. Never mind that I live in a smaller area here then I did in Pullman. At the time my chevelle cost me $128 a month liability only here. And $58 a month in Pullman. That was with no tickets/no accidents. When we got the bird they nailed us for more because it was a formula.. Never mind that it only had an LG4, so the only thing that really made it a formula was the sticker. Insurance was much higher for the sticker.
