When you think about it, isnt true hotrodding taking old junk and using it to make your rig better? Did a little of that today. Used parts of the mid 80s buick century my brother left here on my truck. Saturday I bought a blazer fuel tank. Going to convert my truck from in-cab gas tank to one between the frame rails out back. To do this though you have to come up with a new filler neck somewhere. Wasnt' too partial to putting a neck through the floor inside the bed. Besides, then i'd have to open the tailgate every time I wanted to fill up. Then I saw this idea on the truck board and started to do it today. I used different parts of course, why buy more when you can steal em off a junker you allready have!
Check this out. This pic looks normal right?
Wrong!
You have to open up the inside to allow room for the filler neck too. This whole area will be covered though by enlarging the square enclosure of the rear stake pocket.
This last is with it closed from the inside, still have to lengthen the wires on the marker light yet. Ran out of time today.

Awesome B. I thought you were talking tail light. But that is super clean - no idea that it is there. That will be fun when you come to visit Oregon.
