Hello all, I live right near southcenter mall and I am wondering if there are any local weekly car meets?

In MI there were a few places near me where each summer a bunch of muscle cars would meet up in parking lots and just open their hoods and shoot the breeze.

I have seen a few import groups like this here (strange sight), I was wondering if there were any muscle ones though.

Thanks,
Chris

I wish.

I have yet to see the crew here get any more than partially organized on regular meets. Unfortunately members of the board are relatively spread out.

maybe we should work to truly organize something like this here in the Seattle area?

If you plan it they will come...

Wink

We get together all the time down here. You just have to make it happen. Once people get to know each other it just happens naturally.

Hey man, welcome! I live only about 2miles from southcenter mall. I know up in Burien there were allways a bunch of muscle cars that would go up to the Fredmeyer parking lot and park and shoot the breez there. usually only on the weekends though. There's also going to be a car show at my church up in Burien too, on the 31st of this month. Your more than welcome to show up there, its a $5 dollar donation to enter your car. Let me know if your interested.

The old man is very wise Wink

We've never really had a regular planned every month deal, we've gotten a few dinner's in in Everett. Not a whole lot of activity in this area, when we got the meets up here going, hardly anyone showed....

The ones to make sure you make it to are the January dyno gathering and the Cow's event that was just last month.

I would be up to get another dinner meet going up around here. Have to be in the evening though.

You planning on going to the NHRA event coming up at the end of the month? There will be a couple of us at that. Burnout

What is the NHRA event? and where is it? Hopefully all will be done by then and be able to head up.
A church car show; thats different, but why not. I'll give it a shot.

On a side note what is it with car insurance here? I just got it transfered here and its 40% higher, yikes.

As far as mods go:

Trans: Probuilt 700R4, ACT 9.5" converter 2400 stall, alum DS
Rear: 9-Bolt with 3.70 gear and posi
Susp: koni shocks, Spohn adj LCA's and PH bar, TDS wonderbar, 36mm/24mm swaybars
Exhaust: Jethot coated Hooker competition shorties 15/8 w/ 3" collectors, custom Y pipe, 3" pipes, !cat, !AIR, flowmaster, 24" stainless tips

Right now shes down due to worn out tie rods. I am getting ready to rebuild the steering plus finish off the suspension and brakes:
Koni struts, Hotchkiss springs, Ed Millers 13" C4HD brakes, Earls SS lines, and finally, while I am under there, I am going to repaint the under body and lastly polish my wheels.

Its going to be a busy few weeks, and I still have to repair the fuel line on my merc.

Thanks for the welcome and pictures of my car can be seen here:

Thanks Dewey,

It was a few of your posts that helped me to decide how to rebuild the steering (Napa parts od the coleman racing sleeves). I have the same screen name on here, TGO and cz28.

Hopefully I will meet some of you soon.

Chris

I can't take the credit on that.

Chevymad (Brandon) who is the guro on all things automotive around here, was the one who sent me in that direction, he also helped find a few of the part numbers.
