I've actually got the same plan, but for a very small gokart.

I'm learning to weld so I want to build the frame from the ground up and figure the power to weight ratio would be awesome aswell as having a full working transmission like that!

Keep us posted! I love little stuff like this. Should be picking up my riding lawn mower in the next few weeks. Going to race one next year! Thinking 2.8L lawn mower Shocked Laughing

interesting you mention the lawnmower,i called my parents saturday to see if i could have there riding lawnmower {which was the original motor planned for the gokart project} ended up getting the entire bike for 75 bucks,so no way in hell will i complain.

not sure what im doin with the lawnmower, probably just scavenge parts off it for the kart, who knows. anyways, paul if you need a motor or something the rider has a 22hp,yours if yua want, all i think im going to use is spindles off of it,maybe some other misc parts who knows..

im actually trying to find an old blown up 4wheeler or something, for the suspension system, hand fabbing that, with it actually working decent would be a pain,if i can find a 4wheeler,ill have disc brakes Laughing

btw aaron, whats wrong with my sig? jealousy is bad mmkay!

what would you have in your sig that I would be jealous of?
a "4x4" that had to be pulled from the beach? no... thats not it...
an LG4 powered camaro? certainly not it either...

now... the transam with 6 speed and 383?

nah
can't say I'm jealous of anything in that.
certainly wouldn't be jealous of you putting a pos broken $75 suped up moped in your sig either...

LMAO you take things too seriously bucko
besides, I said suped up moped, not just boring italian moped.

however, one could ask you the same question...
but to be honest, I really don't post here much anymore, if that wasn't plainly obvious to you.
I just stop in to say hey every so often.

home is home, regardless of where I am at the moment.

Hey Mark, I just went to the Lawnmower races in Amboy tonight. I've got the bug. Time for me and my friend to start the lawnmower project.

Definatly like that engine of yours! Does it come with the trans too, or are you using that.

No suspension for us. Just need the power and the tranny! Woot! So ready to go rally race the lawnmower! Cool Laughing Very Happy

well,we've been beating on the riding lawnmower for awhile now,but if yua still want the engine/trans its yours.

i uhh...so far have ridden a 40 foot long wheelie{standing straight up}

and ive managed to roll it on top of myself during a redneck hillclimb, which ended up in mild concussion

but the motor does actually run really good, lots of power, wheelies my fatass Very Happy
