never heard or seen such a thing...but...
what it most likely is,is an overlay..
a common mod on the 85 speedo cars is to make a 160 speedo overlay,and get a 50% reducer gear for the trans from GM,whalah,instant 160 speeod functional and correct as the 85 speedo  |

With 20kmiles I'd say its worth $5000. No where NEAR 9 though.
Never seen a 160. Wonder if it's really a 140 rebadged heh |

Wanna bet? I had an '85 IROC with a 140MPH Z28 speedo. They sold em right there on the counter when you bought the car. |

Late in the 1986 model year, the 85mph speedometer in the Z28 and IROC-Z were replaced with a new 145 mph unit. All 1986 Camaros had the newly required CHMSL (center high mounted stop light) mounted externally on the leading edge of the hatchback glass

Whatever dude. I've got this info from 3 sources... The original owner of my '85, lance, and research.
We all know that the tech on TGO is %100
edit: besides who says that guy couldn't have swapped in a 140 and rebadged it. That was my point that flew over head. |
