I like how there is a permanent looking stain on the concrete where the general sat.

You price out the interior work on the yellow TA yet? What about just a really good cleaning?

The yellow thirdgens were very rare, I've only seen one personally.

to address everything:

1. Ian is right, my car was originally that burgundy color.

2. yes there were yellow 3rd gens, but not the bright yellow like mine, the factory ones were all much more pale.

3. and that is just water on the concrete...it looks fine and normal now.

4. negative on finding a price to redo the interior on the yellow TA, if you see the bid for doing the work on the charger you would understand why Rolling Eyes Wink

good question. well, other than the fact there are no thermo bolts in it...

...it was running a while back, but not running good at all, and i could never get it quite right. (F*ING Crossfire) but it did run and i did drive it around a bit.

battery drained, and there was a small puddle of coolant and also a puddle of trans fluid on the ground. wanted to get it fixed up, but then thats when the yellow car had issues and never got around to it.

still would like to fix that car up. at least get it running so i can easily move it around (AND OUT OF) the garage to get the other charger ready for the body shop. (btw, i dont remember if i told you, i would like to get the yellow charger ready for them by the end of june so they can come pick it up)

anyone that wants to help, uhhh......free beer!

Question

What price range are you looking for? Are you going for a stock interior? There is an upholstery shop down the street from my place and the guy does awesome work. He did the interior of my purple RS.

what all needs to be done to the interior? they sell replacement carpet (don't buy from the guys ian bought from), new seat covers can be ordered and installed. plastics can be found in junkyards in good shape, you just have to be patient. i have recovered two of my own headliners now. sailpannels and visors can also be redone.

all of this stuff can be done yourself and requires little know-how. except the headliner on t-top cars, that can be tricky.

Yeah, I redid my entire interior over spring break. i took the door panels off and shampooed them along with my seats, recovered my headliner, new carpet, and all new plastics (they are just held in by little tabs and screws...super easy)

you can do it!

well as far as interior goes, on the yellow car i need to redo some seats. i want to get a set of GTA or 4th gen TA seats though. I am aware of the seat cover kits that are out there and will probably get a set. I also need to get some black sill plates (if anyone has some let me know--i guess i can dye other colors black as well if i really have to, would prefer black plastic though)

Al, what is the name of the upholstery place you use? I need to get some covers made for the PMD seats in the 82 w/ the correct fabric. Those kits that are out there are close, but not exact in the grain pattern and exact color. I need a complete set of plastics for the 82 ta, so if anyone has any random pieces they would like to donate let me know. and in this case, color does not matter. i plan on painting all the pannels anyways to match. (all the plastic pannels in the car were faded and flaking apart, due to the sun i guess...)

Name is Russell's Upholstery. He's on Illahee Road here in Bremerton, his phone is 360-698-0764. I want him to do the interior (back seats and door panels) in the 89 to match the fronts. When he did my 92, it was less expensive to go custom than it was to do OEM stock.

Come get my 3rd gen no-tear seats. I'm going to throw them away if no one wants them. They're grey (will match your interior) and have no tears. The foam is a little flat, but not all that bad. Might good for a temporary solution until you do it up 4 realz, yo.
