hmm... I had no idea they had SUPER DORIFTO!!! at Monroe Speedway...
interesting.
last time I saw anything there I believe was the cascade crew's trip to the Demo Derby ... or was it the 1/8th drags... one of the two.
I miss being up north. |

Ouchie!
You are a drifting fool ain't cha? Glad that damage was minimal. Other than the wall it looks like fun.

-Schultzy | I was tempted like you wouldn't believe to give drifting a try to burn out the rest of my tires before I get new ones...
then I realized, the only place they really do it in houston is full of walls, and I don't want to put my SS at that kind of risk just yet ... especially since my tires are always undecided on when they want to break and when they want to grip in the first place |

Not that I've ever tried drifting, what were the circumstances? Not enough countersteer or throttle? Looks like she hooked up for one or the other. Looks like a blast though. Maybe when I get the 89 a little more power. _________________ 92 Camaro

Eh, it was the first run of the day and I had just got those rear tires. After that last turn, the back hooked unexpectadly and I didn't countersteer fast enough. Since I was already turned left for the corner, the car continued to rotate to the left (counterclockwise), sending me into the wall.
Unfortunately the camera guy didn't get the other two runs, which were way better. Especially since I was initiated on the first run...
The chassis seems to be fine. All the doors and windows shut right at least. I did notice that it looks alittle crooked from the back, but that might be my garage. Its no very level. I might put it on the alignment rack to get it back straight. I think the passenger side front might be a little high if anything. We'll see. |

Next event is June 1st! Any CC people gonna show? I'll be there for sure, with a vengence. Crap, this means I only have this weekend to get going on the MORE POWER train. Polished TB, maybe clean up the intake a tad, and get that pesky IAT connected. Sheesh. |

Stationary drift.... me likey! I'll show you how a V6 can do it! I can hit 2nd gear with mine!
Sound is good. Lots of tire screeching! You can even hear that I have to let off the gas a bit. I haven't tried weight reduction yet. Thats for this event. That and front alignment. And more power/go fast stuff.
So maybe saturday night or sunday morning. |

Cool . Would be neat to see that - I think the only smoke we saw from a V6 last year was clutch smoke
Pretty sure Paul (aka Hardcore) hit 4th gear on his smokey smokey burnout though

Nice vid. Sucks about your front end though. You had good form through the rest of the run
