Ok......ok......it's not major carnage........more like "mini" carnage........but dang it, it's the only carnage I have pics of. I know......kinda lame, not like blowing the front of the intake off after an 11 second pass in the sled, or blowing up a posi while doing a burnout at cows, or even breaking axles in the moo rock. But it's MY carnage and I'm the one that had to fix it.

Really sucks too........I just had the trans out doing the speedo gear repair, and I pulled the damn throwout bearing out, spun it.........felt good. So put it back. Less that week later this happens. Got lucky though, really didn't hurt the clutch or the front bearing retainer on the trans. Cleaned up everything and stuck it back together. Did it all in less than 5 hours. Gettin good at pullin T5's I guess.

Dang man - timing is everything eh? Glad to hear that there was not any other damage.

Hmm, you are that quick at pulling a T5 what kind of timing do you have for pulling engines? Very Happy

Well.......depends on if I pull the engine and have to do end up doing it again in less than a week because some small part that I checked over broke #$%^&*

Probably do it pretty dang fast the second time. Funny.........this second time I went to the tool box once, grabbed every single tool I needed, and didn't go back to the box until I was done.

lol - When we first dropped in the 383 we got it back in the car. Shortly after that I realized I had made a mistake that caused me to have to pull it again. Fortunately Brandon was motivated (it was time to go drink beers) and we pulled that sucker, fixed the problem and got it back in in just a few hours. Of course it helped that we hadn't hooked everything back up yet. It was installed and the mounts were all bolted up.

Getting ready to pull it to put the new bearings in. Once I found out that I should be using different bearings with the forged Eagle crank I haven't been able to drive it without being paranoid. Not sure if it would have been ok or not but I am not going to risk ~$4k for ~$100-$200 in parts - good insurance.
