Let's see, a 3+ ton truck vs. hopped-up import... wonder what kind of mods in each!
What ever happened to their argument about hp/weight?
Hmmmmmm, cool truck though!

This post reminds me its time to line it up at the strip a PIR....Jesse I need to redeem myself
I replaced my EGR valve, It has been stuck open slightly since I bought it.
Runs way cooler now (170 Tstat helps too, runs about 160 on a cool day) and no more codes and detonation. I figured I would replace it since I needed to change out my upper plenum gaskets anyway.
Anyway this Friday is Street Legal and TNT... 25 bucks gets you in.
Im curious with the free mods I have what I will run. Im too heavy to drive though (255), would it make a difference to have my wife drive it instead ? (140)
Last time I punched it on the last yellow...is that a good strategy ?

Sounds good Don Last time I took ya on the hole shot with my whopping 1.2 reaction time
Generally 100 lbs lighter = 1/10 quicker.
Don't think I'll be able to make it to the track this month, but definetly next month! |

I can guarentee I will dip into the 14's if I get traction. At worst is very low 15's. If I ever get the money for some headers and to put in this posi, high 14's will be no problem. _________________

Traction problems? Boy let me tell you about traction problems.
Best run of the night last fall in at PIR
(Got this run against a RED car which I beat )
60'- 2.154
330'- 6.005
1/8- 9.127
Worst run of the night.
(Against a WHITE car which kicked my ass all night at the track )
60'- 2.406
330'- 7.082
1/8- 10.455
And that young Whippersnapper, is traction problems. |

See, and my 305 is far from stock. I should dip into the 14's if I can get traction. _________________

You should hit 14's easy, my third gen hit 14.9 and i let off well before the finish line so i coasted through cause i threw my belt off the alt and water pump, kinda sucked and i could never fix the problem so i never got to run again and now my motor is cracked so blah blah ill never know, that was also without warming my tire and my single wheel peel 3.23 hehe

although, judging by the aftermath/dents , it does appear that the RV cam was in the lead
although senior tim had been having quite a host of problems IIRC. Gibbs should have his car at cows, we can all see what the RV cam does. |
