you should be able to take it all out and plug off the holes.
you'll need to plug or cover the injector hole, plus plug the hole in the back of the fuel rail where it "starts".
that should be it! Wink

The 9th injector just runs off switches in the block, not the ecm. So you can follow the wires back to where ever and clip them or unplug them.

This is probably a dumb question, but why delete the cold start injector??? Unless you went to SD.

My car is driven only on dry summer days and I find that it can backfire at times if I dont let the pump prime...never had a real need for the cold start....pulled the 3 amp crank fuse just to check this out. To me the 9th one is overkill for my driving needs as it has never seen the winter(original owner).

Mine would start every time I pulled the crank fuse.....read it years back that this disengages the 9th.....cant remember the details("sometimers" setting in Wink ) probably on TGO...

The cold start injector is run from its own thermostat called the cold start switch.

Chiltons says this about the switch (and I quote)

Opens above 35*C or 95*F. Stays closed for 8 seconds when coolant is -20*C or -5*F

So once the thermostat closes (turns on the injector at -5*F) it will stay on for 8 seconds or if the thermostat hits 95*F. SO if you don't drive your car at almost 30* below freezing, you'll be fine to disconnect it.
