well, vid clips in a few... will edit the post I guess... this morning I took a video of the stock exhaust, unfortunately, I was running late for work and the memory card was fairly full so all I got was start up... then after work, straight to the shop.
needless to say, I'm impressed, amazed, and thrilled it's finally on, gives the SS a nice low idle, but a snarl when you get on it... I hope my camera is able to handle it when I go do the vid...
y'all will see a difference in exhaust tone no matter how crappy these videos turn out to be.. but I have to admit, for not having headers or a larger Y-pipe yet, it sounds damn nice on stock exhaust manifolds/cats ... unfortunately, my header plans have to be put on hold for some more "general or preventive" maintenance... brakes, shocks, and swaybars ...
sold my stock catback to a guy as well who was more than happy to have it as the exhaust on his car is nothing but straight pipes off of stock manifolds... I felt bad for him hahaha
anyway... Video One .... Stock Exhaust, Cold Start (well, as cold as you can get for being in stupid Houston) ... Unfortunately I haven't removed my AIR system, so for the first few minutes it causes the exhaust to pop...

sounds damn amazing at 5500 rpm as well... my stocker sounded flat and lame at 5500, hahaha (then again it sounded flat after 2000 .... meh.)
after I take care of some debt issues I'm going to be back to my old plans i think... will find out for sure tomorrow  |

yes, yes indeed...
now I can actually hear and enjoy my exhaust while driving... at about 3000rpm it fills the interior with a wonderful "shut the hell up i'm listening to my exhaust" note ... haha... couldn't hear what selma was saying when we went to dinner tonight.
its not overbearing at all, should be fun as hell when i finish my exhaust...
sets off alarms rather well too |
