I was taking the GFX of my 83 Trans Am. (Not really GFX, more or less just fender flares)
At any rate, I broke the piece closest to the rear tires and noticed it was sort of chalky. So... my question. What the hell are GFX made out of? _________________

well they aint urathane, and im pretty sure they arnt fiberglass. fiberglass doesnt flake off......
i think they are just made out of plastic. possibly even the same stuff that the interior trim is made out of (cause my interior plastics started flaking away too, and its the same)
anyways, im planning on getting having a friend pull a mold off of them and making some fiberglass ones.. |

If you've got damage too it, it can flake off.
